Causes of low self-confidence
1. Negative self-talk: Self-talk creates a very big impact on our lives. If we talk negatively to ourselves it would create a negative impact on our life. Negative self-talk converts our happiness into sorrow. Our negative self-talk is the reason behind low self-confidence.
2. Bad past experience: Our bad past experiences also create a very big impact on our lives. One who faces bad experiences in his/her life always fears to face that again. This fear leads to low self-confidence.
3. Social pressure: Our society has a lot of conservative thoughts and rituals that demotivate us from taking initiative. For example, a decision to choose a career for a student. In our society, some people think that if a student is good at academics, then he/she should choose a science stream. And if a student is low in academics, then he/she should choose the commerce/arts stream. This type of thinking stops them from taking initiative.
4. Fear of failure: Many of us are held back by the fear of failure. We tend to view success and failure as mutually exclusive paths. However, failure is an integral part of success. When we experience failure, we gain valuable experience and take a step closer to our goals. The fear of failure can also contribute to low self-esteem. Maintaining and Growing self-confidence
1. Stay positive: Maintain a positive outlook, no matter how challenging life gets. Focus on the silver lining. 2. Celebrate success: Celebrate your success and small winnings. Whenever you get success or learn a new thing just celebrate it. These small winnings and celebrations will instruct your brain that you have something and will feel confident.
3. Continue learning: Always be curious to learn something new. Your knowledge will improve your critical thinking, and help you to become confident and succeed in life.
